Dividends

The companies available to the Trust in the investment universe have good and well-managed businesses. Their balance sheets are strong and in normal economic conditions they grow their profits and dividends over time. An investment trust is a public limited company and it is the Board that announces the interim, final and any special dividends. It is the Directors’ current intention that, in the absence of unforeseen circumstances, the Trust will declare dividends in the range of 4.0 and 5.0 pence per Ordinary Share in respect of the initial period to 30 June 2025.

Dividend Announcements

The Board of Aberforth Geared Value & Income Trust plc announced a first interim dividend of 1.50p per Ordinary Share in respect of the period ending 30 June 2025.

The dividend will be paid on 10 March 2025 to Ordinary Shareholders on the register on 7 February 2025. The ex dividend date is 6 February 2025.

Dividend Policy

The Trust’s policy is to distribute a significant proportion of its net revenue (after payment of expenses and taxation) in the form of dividends paid to Ordinary Shareholders. As an investment trust, the Trust must not retain, in respect of any accounting period, an amount which is greater than 15% of its income for such accounting period. Ordinary Shareholders are entitled to receive all such dividends.

Zero Dividend Preference Shareholders are not entitled to receive dividend payments.
